Ainars Slesers nominated in Latvia for the position of premier minister

Ainars, the officially-endorsed candidate for the political organization For A Good Latvia for the post of prime minister, said at the conference today that he would defend the Latvian interests when negotiating with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and international lenders and ensure that more Latvian goods, services and products export to Germany, Russia, Scandinavia, Ukraine, and Belarus.

LETA writes Slesers believes Latvian entrepreneurs can also profit from opportunities in Uzbekistan or China.

Slesers hopes that A Good Latvia will have a great success in the 10th Saeima election, and that it will make the decision on the next government’s composition. The new government will provide portfolios to those who are eligible Slesers said. Slesers explained that the next foreign ministry and all Latvian ambassadors overseas will do 80percent of their duties to help Latvian businessmen abroad.

Andris Kele who was nominated by For A Good Latvia for the post of finance minister, stated that Latvia must gain economic independence. “If we must take on the burden of debt over time and years, then no development for the nation can be achieved.”

Ainars Slesers Skele and For A Good Latvia board chair Andrejs Ekis both praised Slesers for their accomplishments. They said that Slesers has shown that the typical Riga boy can be a successful businessman, make lots of money, and be rich. Slesers also has captivating ideas. Ekis described Slesers an “businessman who has turned to politics” He then said, “I wish I could find a person here that could make us feel proud.”

Slesers added that being a premier is to be a leader with a purpose. Ainars Slesers The government in power led by Valdis Dimbrovskis, (New Era), “is trying sedate the country and tell the people all will be fine.” However, it’s risky to live on credit because the borrowed funds must be returned sooner than anticipated.

Slesers has made a number of harsh comments about the other candidates from political parties for premiership. Roberts Zile (For Fatherland and Freedom/LNNK) is been stuck in a rut in Brussels, and he does not actually want to leave his cozy seat within the European Parliament and take office as the next premier of Latvia and will need to work much harder and receive a lower salary, Slesers said.

The Union of Greens and Farmers candidate Aivars has similar circumstances and will hardly change his comfortable life at Ventspils to take on the role of the premier of Riga. Slesers said that For the sake of Good Latvia is prepared to cooperate Janis Urbanovics in conjunction with Harmony Center. Although Urbanovics has worked extensively in parliament, he’s not qualified to be prime minister because of his lack of experience in business.

Dombrovskis is the last candidate who will be elected by those who agree with the current “international Financial Occupation in Latvia”.

Slesers, on the other hand will demonstrate to people how to make money and win in international markets while living with dignity. Slesers also said that Guntis Ulmanis will serve as his primary assistant in the administration of the state. Slesers can turn to Ulmanis for advice. Slesers said that For A Good Latvia would ensure that biblical studies are introduced to all schools from September 1, next year.

Following the meeting, members of For A Good Latvia participated in a flower-laying ceremony at the Freedom Monument.
